Nyanko Rescue!
I’ve been trying to get a hold of a giant-sized Nyanko Okonomiyaki plush because I think its a really tasty dish and I love the fact it comes with three different looking cats to represent the different ingredients you can put into okonomiyaki. What auctions are you looking at?
The only ones I know are Ebay and Yahoo (which has been closed down though…).
Also, are do you speak or read Japanese?
You seem to know tons but I can’t find anything about Nyanko in the United States =(.

Btw…I think I know what you mean by “rescuing” Nyankos =).
I think it’s kind of similar to how I like buying the most adorably defective plush/item out of the bunch; I want to bring it home and love it more because it’s just that retarded, lol.

Hi again Megan! Thank you for coming back after I dragged my feet about this for so long.
I do most of my buying from Yahoo! Japan auctions. Whereas eBay is the big auction site in the USA, its Yahoo!Auctions which is big in Japan. Unfortunately, it really is next to impossible to bid on Y!J auctions unless you’re actually living there or you use a bidding service like I do.
I don’t read or write any Japanese, only a few words, but I’ve found a few online translating programs that allow me to get a basic understanding of what the auction descriptions say. And I do have Japanese fonts installed on my computer so that I can type in the necessary characters to do searchs with.
I know there isn’t very much information about NyanNyanNyanko in English at all, which was one of the reasons I originally started this weblog. I’ll try to get back on track with sharing the information I know!
